Manual Disassembly of the Curta
    
    You can better study the individual parts if you move a few parts out of the 
    way.
    
    Even when parts are completely disconnected they still function, courtesy of 
    the VRML event system :-)
    
    note:
    
    The Curta is a delicate instrument: it can only be taken apart in a certain 
    order.
    Re-assembly is only possible in the reverse order.
    Dragging the input settings sections down
     
    
      - 
        Drag on any part outside the setting levers
- 
        Slide the complete section fully down till it snaps in position
    Dragging up the crank and clearing plate
     
    
      - 
        Drag on the parts of the clearing plate to move the crank up
- 
        Slide the crank all the way up till it snaps in place
    Dragging up the results wheels
     
    
      - 
        Drag on the results wheels (not the shafts) to move the wheels up
- 
        Slide the wheels all the way up till they snap in place
- 
        You can move up the results wheels and the turns counter wheels
    Pulling up the tens bell
     
     
    
      - 
        This is only possible if some other parts are out of the way
        
          - 
            The crank must be fully lifted
- 
            The results wheels of both results and turns counter must be fully 
            lifted
- 
            The settings section must be dragged down as far as possible
 
- 
        Grab the shaft of the tens bell and slowly move it out
    Reassembling the Curta
    
      - 
        Start with dropping the tens bell in place
- 
        Continue to move parts back in reverse order
